Railings and Ramps Reading & Book Signing with Adella Haggerty - December 6 & 7

Join us at the farm for a special afternoon with local author Adella Haggerty, who will be reading from her inspiring children’s book Railings and Ramps. A longtime Special Education Teacher at Groton Public Schools’ Transition Academy, Adella’s story beautifully celebrates kindness, inclusion, and the power of small acts to create big change.

Railings and Ramps follows young Jonathan as he discovers how compassion and community can make his family’s country store more welcoming for everyone. The book features charming illustrations by Caitlin Shaffer (Reiter), who grew up right here in Mystic and attended Butler Elementary, Cutler Middle School, and St. Bernard’s High School.

Books will be available for purchase, and Adella will be signing copies after the reading. Gather your family, sip some cocoa, and enjoy a heartwarming story about perseverance, empathy, and making the world a little brighter—just in time for the holiday season.
