FAQs
We’ve gathered the most common questions about visiting Yetter Road Tree Farm — from hours and pricing to what to bring and how to pick the perfect tree. Find all the details below to make your visit merry, smooth, and stress-free.
Our primary focus is the long-term sustainability of our tree farm. Each tree takes about 10 years to grow to a height of 6 feet, with various stages of growth across our fields—from seedlings just a few inches tall to fully grown trees ready for harvest. We may decide to close the field early to ensure we have enough healthy trees for future seasons and to give younger trees time to mature. This helps us protect the farm’s natural balance and ensures we can continue providing high-quality trees for years to come. We appreciate your understanding and know there’s always room to grow!
Tagging is a convenient service for customers who want to reserve a tree to pick up closer to Christmas. Tagging is available only during the first four (4) days of the season, from Nov 29 to Dec 2.
Here’s how it works:
Purchase a tag for $3 in person at the farm.
Head out into the field, pick your perfect tree, and tag it between Nov 29 and Dec 2.
Call us 1 day before you plan to pick up your tree to schedule a time.
We’ll cut and prep your tree for you.
Pick up your tree anytime up to Dec 23.
To beat the crowds, you can buy your tag in advance during our soft opening from Nov 25-27 and come back to tag your tree beginning the Friday after Thanksgiving.
Note: Although rare, we cannot 100% guarantee your tagged tree's availability. Occasionally, "the Grinch" wins despite our best efforts!
Do I need to tag a tree to take it home?
No, you don’t need to tag a tree if you plan to take it home the day you visit. Tagging is only for those who want to reserve a tree for a later pick-up.
